Former South Shore Kings & Cape Cod Whalers forward Matthew Boldy could go in the top 10 players selected in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft this weekend in Vancouver.

Boldy was ranked 9th overall in the final NHL Central Scouting rankings and has impressed scouts.

The Hockey News had Boldy ranked eighth overall in their Draft Preview, as did International Scouting Services, while The Athletic went one better and had him ranked seventh overall. Needless to say, hes expected to go in the top 10 Friday night in Vancouver.

The 6-foot-2-inch, 192-pound Boldy is known to be a pure scorer with soft hands and plays an aggressive style. Boldy, 18, had 13 goals and 13 helpers when he played for the Whalers 16U in the 2016-17 season.

He spent the past season playing for the United States' 18U team and had 33 goals and 41 assists in 81 games played.

Boldy will play for Boston College next season.
