EHF Weekend Warm-Up - November 23, 2019

November 23, 2019

By Matt LaRochelle /

It’s time for another weekend of hockey in the Eastern Hockey Federation.
Here are some things to watch for the weekend of November 22 - 24, 2019.

2007 – Pee Wee Major

  • Mid-Fairfield Jr. Rangers vs Minuteman Flames (Nov. 23 – New England Sports Center)

    • Game 1 – 12:00 p.m.

    • Game 2 – 4:50 p.m.

With each team currently at 10 wins apiece, the Jr. Rangers (10-3-1, 21 Pts) and Flames (10-5-1, 21 Pts) are looking to use this Saturday doubleheader as an opportunity to break away from the crowded middle of the ’07 division

2008 – Pee Wee Minor

  • Boston Jr. Eagles vs Top Gun (Nov. 24 – Salem ICEnter)

  • Due to the Mid-Fairfield Jr. Rangers’ one loss and one tie (20-1-1, 41 Pts), any team looking to keep pace has almost no room for error. Following their game this Sunday, either the Jr. Eagles (11-2-1, 23 Pts) or Top Gun (10-3-2, 22 Pts) will suffer another setback in that race with Mid-Fairfield.

U14 (Black Division)

  • Providence H.C. (South) vs NorthStars H.C. (Half-Season) (Nov. 23 – NorthStar Ice Sports)

  • NorthStars H.C. (Half-Season) vs Boston Jr. Eagles (Nov. 24 – Boston Sports Institute)

  • The NorthStars (7-0-0, 14 Pts) look to cap a perfect half-season in the U14 Black division, but will be challenged by a Providence (South) team that maintains a division-leading five ties, and a Jr. Eagles team that been defeated only once this season (11-1-1, 23 Pts).

U14 (White - Upper Division)

  • Crimson H.C. vs NorthStars H.C. (Nov. 24 – Thayer Sports Center)

  • The Crimson (9-1-1, 19 Pts) currently hold the best winning percentage (.864) and defense (21 GA) in the Upper Division despite sitting in second place. They will be challenged this Sunday by a NorthStars (8-3-1, 17 Pts) squad that is also performing well defensively (23 GA).

2006 – Bantam Minor (Black Division)

  • Islanders H.C. (East) vs North Shore Shamrocks (G) (Nov. 24 – Ristuccia Memorial Arena)

  • In their first meeting of the season on Sept. 21 Islanders (11-1-1, 23 Pts) and Shamrocks (10-2-1, 21 Pts) finished knotted at 1-1. Two months later, the division’s top-two teams will meet again, each looking for a victory this time.

2008 – Pee Wee Minor (Black Division)

  • Providence H.C. (South) vs NorthStars H.C. (Half-Season) (Nov. 23 – NorthStar Ice Sports)

  • NorthStars H.C. (Half-Season) vs Boston Jr. Eagles (Nov. 24 – Boston Sports Institute)

  • Even though they have five ties accumulated, the NorthStars remain without a loss in the ’08 Black Division. They will look to keep it that way with a weekend road trip to visit PHC North (2-13-1, 5 Pts) and IHC East (8-2-2, 18 Pts).

2008 – Pee Wee Minor

  • P.A.L. Jr. Islanders vs Rockets H.C. (Black) (Nov. 24 – Bridgewater Sports Arena)

The Rockets look to extend their undefeated record to 8-0 and build upon their division-leading Goal Differential (+42) in a battle of the top-two teams in the ’08 Division.
